Love Conquers All

IMG_8975
Ignatian Spirituality does not separate the cross from the cradle very much. Love came down with a purpose and and end in mind. Arriving clothed in human skin, God was destined to conquer all on the cross. This Christmas as you think about the Babe in the wooden cradle, can you also see the Son of God stretched out on the wood of the tree?

Love comes this Christmas but it is not for the weak or faint of heart. The cost is everything–more than we can imagine. This act of Love is inconceivable really, and yet Conceived with, in and through Love.

This Christmas take a quiet moment to reflect upon the connection between the cradle and the cross. Express your gratitude for the Greatest-Gift-of-All.

Peace,

Suzanne

About sstyves

A Canadian prairie girl rooted in Ignatian spirituality, I seek God in all things. Whether I catch a glimpse of the Divine and delight in its presence in nature or in the beauty of an encounter with someone, I am ever so grateful that I can recognize the Creator. I greet each new day with hope and happiness, expecting blessings and miracles because I am created to praise, love and serve God. This blog is one way of realizing that through my writings, prayers, and photography. To God be the Glory!
