Dropping Out

Image

Today I recovered my mini-vacation. Sometimes it is good to drop out of the rat race and simply rest. I move so fast some days that there are streaks behind me. I love the chance to just stop and be. I watched the ice-dancing in the Olympics and soaked in the beauty of this sport. Tonight, I further immersed myself in beauty by attending my last photography class which was held outside. I stood still at one point and admired this city that I have grown up in and rejoiced that I could see it through a different vantage point.

When was the last time you took a well-deserved time out?

Peace,

Suzanne

About sstyves

A Canadian prairie girl rooted in Ignatian spirituality, I seek God in all things. Whether I catch a glimpse of the Divine and delight in its presence in nature or in the beauty of an encounter with someone, I am ever so grateful that I can recognize the Creator. I greet each new day with hope and happiness, expecting blessings and miracles because I am created to praise, love and serve God. This blog is one way of realizing that through my writings, prayers, and photography. To God be the Glory!
